CF4DT @ RWTH

Computational Foundations of Digital Twin Technologies

Welcome

Dear students,

Welcome to homepage of Computational Foundations of Digital Twin Technologies (CF4DT) course offered by the Chair of Methods for Model-based Development in Computational Engineering at RWTH Aachen University

The RWTH Moodle platform is used in conjunction with this webpage. The RWTH Moodle will be used for:

  • announcements (change of dates/rooms, exam related information)
  • lecture resources
  • exercise submission
  • exercise solutions
  • project submissions

This webpage will be used for sharing:

  • general information
  • lecture notes
  • exercises

Tracks

There are two track courses possible in CF4DT:

  • Track A
    • Open for
      • Computational Engineering Sciences
      • Simulation Sciences
      • Product Development
      • Applied Geosciences
      • and related computational study programs
    • Computational Foundations of Digital Twin Technologies (6 credit points)
      • Lecture (3 SWS)
      • Exercise (1 SWS)
  • Track B
    • Open for CES and SiSc students
    • Computational Foundations of Digital Twin Technologies (6 credit points)
      • Lecture (3 SWS)
      • Exercise (1 SWS)
    • Lab for Computational Foundations of Digital Twin Technologies (2SWS / 3 credit points)

Required preliminary knowledge

Basic knowledge in Simulation Techniques, Numerical Methods for PDEs and programming in Python can help one blend easily into the lecture content.

Grading

  • Track A (Lecture + Exercise)
